About the Event
The Rowan Summer Music Camp offers students entering grades 7 through 12 the opportunity to study with some of the region’s finest instrumental, choral, and orchestral educators and performers. During this dynamic five-day camp, students participate in large and small ensembles, experience challenging quality repertoire, and have lessons with world-class faculty. Participants develop their musicianship and improve their technical abilities as they perform in master classes, attend music theory sessions, and see recitals from guest artists.
Hosted by the Rowan University Department of Music, students study in the spacious Wilson Music Building which houses Pfleeger Concert Hall, Boyd Recital Hall, two newly renovated rehearsal rooms, and over 80 practice rooms. Attendees are housed in air-conditioned residence halls and share meals in the Student Center dining hall. Supervision of the residence hall is provided by Summer Music Camp Staff and Rowan Campus Security.
Evening events feature performances by our esteemed camp faculty, and Thursday’s final concert is an exciting culminating event in which all campers perform onstage.
