Michael Armstrong
President

Mike Armstrong has had several years experience as a member of the Atlantic Brass Band Executive Board; starting out as a Member-at-Large before being elected to the post of Vice-President, and ultimately ascending to the President position.
The 2nd trombonist since 2003, Mike has enjoyed his time with the Atlantic Brass Band and counts it as one of his great musical experiences.Along with Mike's experiences on the board, he also brings over a decades worth of experience in running the Deptford high school music program, as well as several years experience as the coordinator for the Annual SJBODA Concert Band Festival.
Mike is very excited to help move the band forward into the future both as a board member and as a musician.
Alf Hadinger
Vice President/ Band Manager
Alf Hadinger is in his first term on the board, and has played Eb bass in the band since 2018. Prior to joining Atlantic Bras Band, he performed with Princeton Brass Band for nearly eight years, and co-founded the Princeton Youth Brass Band. Outside of Atlantic Brass Band, he serves as a K-12 public school administrator in New Jersey.

Since 2000, Salvatore Scarpa has served on the Board of Directors, guiding the band's artisitc goals and musical vision.
Dr. Bryan Appleby-Wineberg
Personnel Manager
Youth Band Director, Assistant Musical Director
Bryan Appleby-Wineberg, Associate Professor of Trumpet and Head of Brass at Rowan University oversees recruitment and personnel onboarding into the band. Under his vision and guidance, the Atlantic Youth Brass Band was formed in 2012.
Melanie Ball
Treasurer
Mid-Atlantic Brass Band Festival Chair, Business Administration Chair
Melanie Ball, comes to Atlantic from the Co-operative Funeralcare Band North West in the UK where she also served as Treasurer. Melanie is a Lead Finance Specialist at GE in Philadelphia, PA. She has also served a term on the Board of the North American Brass Band Association.

Dan Fineberg
Member at Large
Dan is a Member At Large and has filled this role since 2021. As a percussionist, he represents the non-brass playing contingent of the ensemble. In addition to his work with ABB, Dan is a Director of Art and Graphic Designer.

Michelle Lowry
Marketing
Small business owner Michelle Lowry served on the Atlantic Brass Board of Directors for 19 years, beginning in 2003, previously holding the positions of Secretary, Vice President, and Personnel Manager. Prior to Atlantic she has served on the Board of the Central Ohio Brass Band and the American Fisheries Society Mid-Atlantic Chapter (as Secretary/Treasurer). As marketing chair she has built and maintained the band's website, and managed all of the band's social media platforms since 2012.
